Works
General
Works are the core entity of the publishing module. Each Work represents a single musical composition and carries all the metadata needed for registration, royalty calculation, and society reporting.

You can also upload a sound file (audio reference) directly to the Work.
Participants
Add everyone who has a share in the Work:
- Role types: Composer, Lyricist, Publisher, Sub-publisher, Arranger, Editor, and more.
- For each Participant, specify their share percentage per income source.
- The IP Publishing Info Chain section records which publisher controls which territories and rights windows.
All shares of a Work must sum to 100% across all Participants. Verify this before generating Statements.
Tracks
Links the Work to any recorded Tracks in the system.

Actions available from the Tools tab:
Export to CWR
Generate a CWR (Common Works Registration) file for society submission. You can select the CWR version, the target society, and apply territory filters. Before exporting, melino validates CWR eligibility and highlights any missing or invalid data.
Import Works from Excel
Upload an Excel file (max 10 MB) to create or update Works in bulk.
View Society Registrations
See the registration status per society.
Work Aliases
Society-specific alternative titles can be stored per Work, e.g. when the title used for registering with GEMA differs from the original.
