Publishing Settings
General
Some publishing configuration lives in the main Companies, Partners, and Participants modules.
Companies → Publishing Tab
The Publishing tab in a Company record is where system-wide publishing configuration is set. Administrators configure:
Publishing Contract Types
The list of available Contract types (e.g. Co-publishing, Administration). Use Add Defaults to populate a standard set.
Publishing Distribution Channels
The income channels available across the system (e.g. Streaming, Download, Physical, Sync).
Publishing Configurations
Deal configurations (e.g. Exclusive, Non-exclusive).
Publishing Sources
The list of recognised data sources (linked to Publishing Partners).
Publishing Society Credentials
Society account credentials used for CWR file submission (society code, username, password, sender ID).
Changes to Contract Types, Channels, and Configurations here affect the options available in all Publishing Contracts company-wide.
Partners → Publishing Fields
Within a Partner record, the following publishing-specific fields control how that Partner is treated in the royalty workflow:
Publishing Type
Classifies the Partner (e.g. Distributor, Society, Licensee).
Publishing Minimum Payout
Payments below this threshold are held over to the next period.
Publishing Term Category
The accounting period frequency for this Partner (e.g. Quarterly, Semi-annual).
Participants → Publishing Fields
Participants linked to Works can carry publishing-specific information that feeds into contract share calculations. This ensures that when a Contract references a Participant, melino knows which share of the Work's royalties that Participant controls.
