Getting Started with melino Label

Introduction

melino Label is an all-in-one ERP for record labels, covering product and catalog management, complex contract and rights administration, royalty accounting, credit notes, payments, withholding tax, and reporting and controlling.

It connects to dozens of third-party services - from distributors and collecting societies to accounting software and e-signature providers - so that the entire label operation runs from a single platform.

All data is organized around your recordings, releases, and the agreements that govern how revenue flows between the label and its partners.

Views

Two user interface elements that are consistent throughout the application:

  • List View: a table view for managing all items of a specific data type.
  • Edit View: a single-item view for creating, opening, modifying, or deleting a particular item.

List View

Each List View includes a search function, page navigation, page length, Excel export, and column selection. Additionally, some lists have filters specific to their respective data types.

Clicking a column header sorts the table by the selected attribute. Clicking the same column again reverses the sort order.

Edit View

Each Edit View has a duplicate function that creates a copy of the opened item. Depending on the data type, certain attributes, such as ISRC or UPC, are not duplicated. This allows for the quick creation of a similar entry without the risk of creating a true duplicate.

The name of the opened item, located at the top of the Edit View, can be copied to the clipboard by clicking on it.

Clicking the ID in the top right corner copies the ID to the clipboard.
